Lifestyle Spending (Wellness) Account

Aristocrat has set aside $500 for you to spend on your physical, mental, or financial wellness–because no one understands your needs better than you.

For new employees:

  • Hired between January 1st and June 30th, the amount is $500 per Plan Year
  • Hired between July 1st and December 31st, the amount is $250 per Plan Year

Your lifestyle spending (wellness) account is included in your group insurance coverage to make it easier for you to stay healthy. After all, a healthy workplace is better for you, your employer, and your family.

Account Registration / Access:

This account is automatically setup when you create your healthcare account with Desjardins.

Eligible expenses list can be viewed in the documents section – under ‘Lifestyle Spending (wellness) Account Eligible Expenses’

For employees who already have an account setup with Desjardins, you can merge your accounts to allow easier access. When you merge your accounts, after logging in, you will see the screen below:

Checking your Wellness Account balance

Your Wellness Account balance will be debited each time a claim is paid. You can check your account balance three different ways:

  • Log on to the secure site at desjardinslifeinsurance.com/planmember, and click on Group insurance under Individuals. Once on the secure site, go to Your account and click on Wellness Account.
  • Access your file online using the Omni mobile app. Go to the menu bar and select Wellness Account.
  • Refer to the explanation of benefits that’s produced and posted on the secure site each time a claim is processed. If you don’t have access to the secure site, or if you haven’t signed up for direct deposit, you can refer to the explanation of benefits that is sent to you by mail.

Submitting a reimbursement claim:

  • Claims can be submitted online through the plan member secure site.
    • To be able to submit their claims online, plan members must first enroll for direct deposit.
  • Since the account is administered under its own policy number (M00152) separate from the other benefits of the basic group insurance plan, plan members must complete a direct deposit enrollment form for each policy number.
  • Claims may also be submitted using the Wellness account Claim form (17111E) available on the Desjardinsassurancevie.com as well as on the plan member secure site and the plan administrator secure site.
  • Members can submit their account claims electronically through our secure link as follows: Desjardins Secure Site
    • See in document section to the right, ‘Sending your claim documents’
  • Omni mobile app. Members can now conveniently submit Wellness Account claims on the Omni app. You can also add and change direct deposit banking information for your Wellness Account on the app, the same way they do for other claims. Note: If you have automatic updates activated on the app, the next time it is opened a pop-up window will inform you that new functionalities are available. Otherwise, you will have to update the app manually.
